Textile Art Workshop with Lasha Devdariani and Ketevan Karchava (May 16 - May 21)
Together with fashion designer, Lasha devdariani and embroidery artist Ketevan Karchava, Ria Keburia foundation has launched 5-day-long Textile Art Workshop in Kachreti Art
residency. During the course, participants learned basic stitches and expanded their thread vocabulary, while also touching the history of textiles from all over the world. They also grasped how to use different materials as well as to combine drawing and embroidery in a composition.
The course also covered traditional and contemporary materials through creative practices. At the end of the workshop, students were able to create original textile and embroidery pieces based on the acquired knowledge.
