CURATOR IN RESIDENCE

Ria Keburia Residency is now accepting applications from national and international curators for its Curator-in-
Residence Program. Beginning from September 2021, the successful candidate will participate in a 10-day full
residency stay in Ambassadori Kachreti Golf Resort. Selected participants will originate and present their mediated
exhibition inclusive of local and national artists.

Stated program provides 10-day-residency to established and emerging curators. The residency covers
accommodation, production costs, exhibition set or other curatorial projects. Furthermore, the program
offers networking with artists and curators on the Georgian Art scene, studio visits, gallery overviews.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Curator-in-residence aims to create a strong network and offer the possibility for new encounters and professional
contacts which will eventually lead to future collaborations between international and Georgian curators and artists.
Competitive applicants will possess a strong knowledge of international contemporary art and a genuine interest in
researching and responding to cultural production in Georgia. Our aim is also to establish multicultural exchange
together with immersion into Georgian culture.

THE PROGRAM PROVIDES

- accommodation for 10 days in a local hotel Ambassadori Kachreti Golf Resort
- the schedule of the residency is flexible: selected curators can spend the 10 days on the local territory with
several visits to the capital: a research period followed by a separate trip for the realization of the final project.

EXPECTATIONS FROM THE RESIDENTS

Residents are expected to have interest in discovering and learning more about Georgian art scene, in working with
Georgian artists and exchanging knowledge, contacts, new practices and more. Interest in networking, establishing
professional contacts, for future benefits.
