"Kiu photo contest"

Kutaisi International University has announced a new Georgian photo contest "KIU PHOTO CONTEST". The competition aims to support both amateur and professional photographers between the ages of 18 and 30. The theme of the competition is "Georgia - Stories told with the images". Participants are free to interpret the topic in a creative way and in the aesthetics of the work. Photos can be from any genre: documentary, conceptual, reportage, etc. It is possible to submit both completed and current photo projects The photo contest is funded by the International Charity Fund "Cartu".

KIU Photo Contest has three main categories: Professional Photographers,Amateur Photographers and One-Shot category. The contestant is eligible to participate in more than one category - amateur and one shot, or professionals and one shot. Jury will select three winners from each category who will receive cash prizes. The organizers of the competition are photographer Natela Grigalashvili and curator Miriam Grigalashvili.

The deadline for submissions is January 31st.

The winners will be announced in the spring of 2021.
