SHABALIN

For the autumn-winter collection of Ria Keburia, a young Russian artist, blogger and stylist Dmitry Shabalin made five different masks, using a variety of materials - from fairly familiar feathers and beads to toy machines and miniature octopus figures. All masks are made in the concept of the main collection called Robossance, in which Ria told the story of a girl who turned from an embryo into a robot.

Dimitri Shabalin. Artist and fashion editor, born in 1993.

2012-2015 – fashion editor at Numero magazine (Russia) and Interview magazine (Russia)

2013- till now – creator of eclectic masks made of recycled materials.

Masks were exhibited at Grand Palais in Paris during «Revelations» - a fine craft biennale in 2017. Currently presented at Cube art-space (Ritz-Carlton, Moscow).

Masks can be found in private collections in Russia, Georgia, Monaco, Belgium and USA.
